‘Hi! I’m Barbara. In over 5 decades of life, one observation I’ve made is that everyone of us has something unique to offer. Often, we can relate to and learn from the experience others. If we’re open to learning, then it’s always a two-way street. No matter how old you are, if you’re a Student of Life, then what a great life you have!’

‘Retired’ after having taught Mathematics and Science for 30 years, Barbara started dabbling in other aspects of life that she loved. Her first insight as an artisan after leaving the rat-race, was that in order to find fulfillment in an art or a craft or life in general, it was necessary to slow down and be ‘in the moment’. Drawing taught her to see things differently, to see patterns in the positive and negative spaces, like diamonds in a chive flower. She revels in letting nature be her artist, whether letting the water color on a page or fire and smoke on a raku pot do their thing, nature is the ultimate artist. We are just humble servants who allow nature to inspire, surprise and delight us.
